nvm 2008
hey everyone!
after weeks of conditioning and training in school and in the 40-storey flats of toa payoh, we!oac teams 1 and 2 successfully scaled 60-storeys of the republic plaza on the second of march. :D
here the results for national vertical marathon 2008:
195 GE SHULIANG WE! OAC 1 0.11.12.96
196 PEK SHI BAO WE! OAC 1 0.10.59.44
197 SIM JIA MIN WE! OAC 1 0.15.11.24
198 THIA KAI QING WE! OAC 1 0.15.13.18
199 YAP ZHENG YU JACKY WE! OAC 1 0.14.55.04
200 CHUAH YUHUI WE! OAC 2 0.15.00.25
201 GOH YI LING RACHEL WE! OAC 2 0.18.16.35
202 KOK YUFENG WE! OAC 2 0.11.42.54
203 TOK WEI MIN WE! OAC 2 0.12.09.83
204 TUNG BI'HO BRANDON WE! OAC 2 0.10.47.22
the fastest timing in our cat was 8.12 sec. and best timing for men's open was 7.53. (wahaha crazy people XD)
anyway, cheers to brandon for being the fastest in we!oac! as the leader of our teams, he showed great enthusiasm and determination, consistently pushing and encouraging the rest of the team on during training sessions and the actual competition alike, (literally) leading us to the top.
cheers too for eileen and zhenchao for turning up for/organising the training sessions, and for the milo bars and 100 plus. and guanhui for turning up to watch us.
at the end of the day, the sense of satsifacation u get from completing the marathon is the most rewarding experience (not the goodiebags). (so who cares abt winning?)
and to end off...
Yap Zhengyu Jacky (1990-????) "1380 steps? NVM la!" (or something like that la)

ah. but more importantly.
TO ALL ROVERS:
good job for yltc! amidst all your sleeping/mugging/falling asleep during debrief:D/stoning/doing stupid things, all of you still played an important part in ensuring that the camp could go on smoothly with all logistics in place. w/o you all the qms would have died ><
To Instructor Liping, Instructor Shenjiamin, Instructor Bi'ao, thanks for being the zai qms you all are, always ready to provide assistance. i know i tend to ask u all to do a lot of things that seem really pointless, but you all did them nonetheless. so cheers to you all, for making sure that we brought along messtins to landex this time, for handling all the food (and lock's demands), for keeping the log room tidy (esp liping), and basically for making yltc a logistical success. (:
yeah. that's all.
