hey. MAF has ended.

i doubt many of you will read this entry, because most of you will probably be mugging. Just want to say, good job. (:

Thanks for working so hard for MAF. It wasn't easy; there's a lot of stupid things we had to do, and perhaps it wasn't the best time to bother about something else other than your studies. But, it has ended, and it has ended fairly well. I'm not really sure about how much we earned, not a lot i guess, but (: at least we did this together ya? Every single balloon sold has probably gone through like 15 different pairs of oacian's hands. i think a lot of our egos have hurt by all those rejection we faced when we're selling the balloons. but it's okay, it's good that when we try hard, we do it together.

it's not about how much you earn, or how zai your structure is at the end of the day, but how much effort you have put in. i think we can give ourselves a pat on the back if we have done our best. (:

MAF next yr will be an entirely different experience i guess. we won't be planning, we won't be doing the weird and funny stuff. no promotion booth that fails to the max. no order forms that cant really show the correct colour. no random mess ups anymore for us i guess.

haha. on the other hand, it means one less opportunity for us to work together, to spend time with each other, to show our batch spirit.

our pledge:

we, together as one, shall put in our very best,
in all that we do, leaving no one behind.
we will put our limits to the test,
with friendship that will forever bind,
and thro all these, we shall always have in mind,
that the WE! spirit, shall never die.

our pledge reflects a lot. haha. it has very high expectations as well. it's easy to claim that we have satisfied all of them, difficult to admit that we're not good enough. we promised a lot back then in YLTC. but if we reflect, how many of our promises have we fulfilled? it's time to start looking at our own mistakes, and stop looking at everyone else's. we're only good enough to criticise, i guess, only when we're flawless. i'm not implying anything, not even thinking. it's currently 2.50am, my brain doesn work that well.

how much have we grown since YLTC?

perhaps it's not wise to bring in such a serious topic after such a zai MAF. but, we can always aim to be much better than we are. how much more are we willing to give to oac.

my friend asked, "isn't oac just a recreational cca? when u all just do the things u wanna do? what do you expect it to be? a lifestyle?"
i disagree, and went into an endless debate with him. but sometimes, having some evidence helps.

not emoing. i think.
just. hoping. i guess.
